Home Groups are one of the best ways to meet people and develop deeper relationships at the Cove. Group meeting times and formats vary from group to group, but the overall purpose remains to connect with one another, form genuine community and connect on a deeper level with God. If you are interested in getting involved in a home group please email us and let us know what you're looking for and we'll have a home group leader contact you.

On the first Saturday of the month from 8-9am our two Spiritual Directors in Residence, Janet Johnson, 573-3796, and Linda Albert (email). lead this intimate service of quiet prayer. The service is meditative and includes chant, prayer and Scripture. We use the practice of Lectio Divina ("divine reading") as a way of praying with and meditating on Scripture during these services.

Once a week on Wednesday mornings the Cove men meet from 6:30-7:30am for the infamous "mystery breakfast", Bible study and fellowship. Everyone takes turns cooking and sharing a small study. Breakfast and coffee for only $4 can't be beat! This mid-week check in time has been a great boost for the men who have attended. Contact Pat Powers(email)

There are different opportunities for women of all ages to come together and learn God’s Word and learn from each other; Bible Study, prayer retreats, contemplative prayer, and spiritual direction. As our church grows we hope to offer more opportunities for women to grow in their faith such as conferences, book clubs, and continued Bible studies.

Spiritual Direction has been called "holy listening." In spiritual direction, two persons pledge to journey together for a time in order to listen together for God's voice in one of their lives. Through listening and reflecting, in a confidential setting of prayer and encouragement, we seek to discern God's leading. Spiritual direction assumes that God is at work in every area of our lives - our relationships, our work, our leisure and quiet. God is present in our doubt and frustration and pain as well as in our certainty, our joy, and our healing. Sometimes it is difficult to discern the Spirit's presence or movement, or to follow God's call. God is the real Director of our lives, but an experienced companion (spiritual director) can often help you hear or notice what is real, and respond. If you are interested in exploring this type of relationship, please feel free to contact Janet Johnson, 573-3796, and Linda Albert (email), both of whom are certified Spiritual Directors.
